Tools Overview
Aerial View Mode
The user will be able to navigate across the entire site from a higher vantage point, providing an overview of a development, with the ability to view any aspect of the site from any angle or distance. From aerial view, the user can set back to the ground by double clicking anywhere on the site.
Radius Tool
The user will be able to place a centre point anywhere on site, and drag out a radius to display the distance in metres, with a circle indicating the distance from the centre point in all directions. Any amount of radii can be placed, for example, to assist with walkable catchment design.
Snapshot Tool
The user will be able to take a snapshot of the 3D scene in real time and thereby create perspectives at any desired view angle instantaneously. The user is in control of the views and angles of a perspective, rather than a third party. This allows for the unlimited production of communication or marketing collateral at no additional cost, with the ability to save snapshots locally, or email these directly from within the application.
Design Brochure & Annotation Tool
The user will be able to compile any number of snapshots within an online brochure, add customised drawings and text annotations, and export these files as a PDF, or send out a PDF link via email to various recipients directly from within the application. This tool can be utilised for planning meeting collaboration and documentation, the generation of immediate feedback, and eliminates the need for single-use paper drawings whilst significantly reducing the workload for meeting follow-up and documentation distribution.
Animation Tool
The user will be able to record a video clip of the interactions performed within the 3D space, suitable for the bespoke creation of animation output for specific presentations, or the drafting of marketing presentation camera paths. This content can then be uploaded to online video services, such as YouTube or Vimeo, and shared instantly.
Technical Site Overlays
The user will be able to individually display any type of technical information as a layer over the 3D site, such as masterplans, illustrative site plans, diagrams, slope analysis, contour plans, road networks, habitat zones, retaining trees, view lines, ecological zones, etc., to assist in the planning, decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and communication processes. These layers can be toggled on and off individually in any sequence, to allow for a more tailored presentation or education approach.
Financial & Costing Tools
The user will be able to utilise a convenient tool to obtain additional financial information in relation to choices displayed within the interactive 3D environment, for example the cost implications of various design choices, or the total cost of a surface treatment for a selected area, with the input of a cost per square metre.
